Why a bittering agent matters for products sold in Odisha
Odisha has a large farming sector, and agrochemicals are stored and used close to homes and animals. Cleaners and antifreeze also sit within reach of children everywhere. A bittering agent is a small addition to the formula that gives a large safety margin. It doesn’t change how the product works. It only makes it unbearable to taste.
That describes why the chemical is used, not a list of our Odisha customers. Technical details are on our denatonium benzoate product page, with background on PubChem and Wikipedia.
Denatonium benzoate manufacturer in Odisha: keeping the powder dry on the coast
Odisha’s coastal air is humid for much of the year, and during the monsoon and cyclone season it is worse. Denatonium benzoate is a powder, and damp air makes it clump and become difficult to weigh and dissolve.
- Keep the pack sealed, and reseal it straight after taking what you need.
- Store it indoors, off the floor, in a dry room away from windows and walls that sweat.
- For a pack you’ll use slowly, consider decanting smaller amounts into airtight containers, labelled clearly.
- If a pack has clumped, tell us before you use it.
Because the powder goes so far, many buyers in humid regions order a pack size they will finish within a reasonable time instead of a large one that sits half-open.

| Your situation | A pack that usually fits |

For dosing, most products use a few to a few dozen parts per million. Your number depends on your product, so send us your formula and we suggest a starting range. Never taste the pure powder. See also our crotonaldehyde and denatonium saccharide pages for Odisha.
